my name's Megan and I'm an elopement + wedding photographer serving Northern California.
I believe you deserve beautiful and timeless photos of you and your honey -- no special occasion needed. You deserve images that are truly representative of your love for each other and that you're proud to print on a big scale and hang on your wall or to send to grandma. However, I also know that hiring a professional to create those images can be a bit cost-prohibitive -- that's why I'm so excited to be offering mini sessions this year at a much lower price point than my regular sessions! Can I get a 'heck yeah'?!

I hate being posed that chin-here-look-over-there-arm-down way so I'll never do the same with you. I want to capture you exactly the way you and your babe naturally interact because you definitely don't need my help loving on each other and having a good time together!
What I LOVE is capturing those side glances at each other, fingers intertwined, face-scrunched-up-belly-laughing moments. That's what I'm best at, and those are the moments you're gonna want to look back on in 5, 10, and 20 years. You're not gonna remember what jokes we told, or the silly things I asked you to do (well, maybe you will!), or even if you were mad at each other two days ago, but what you WILL remember is the amazing season of life you're in loving each other.

As I take them. all of your photos are instantly duplicated onto a backup memory card, so instantly insurance is created in case one memory card fails or breaks (one time I had one totally split in half!). As soon as I get home from your session or wedding, I start downloading all of the images to a hard drive, which is then copied over to a second backup hard drive. So at this point, your photos exist in FOUR places. Additionally, I never delete the photos off of the original memory cards until the final gallery is safely delivered to you, so even if some freak accident happened and ALL of my hard drives crashed and I lost everything else (highly unlikely), I'd still have the originals on the memory cards to start over on editing and delivering.
How do you keep our images safe?
Don't you want beautiful and candid photos of you two that aren't iPhone selfies? Convention would have us believe that you need a big life event (such as: being engaged, married, celebrating an impressive anniversary milestone, etc.) to have a reason to book a professional photographer. Right?
NOT ME. I wholeheartedly believe you do not need any kind of excuse or reason to get your picture taken together. Unless that excuse is "Just because!" I shoot couples to create an opportunity for them to have beautiful images of them and their significant other, without needing the premise of being engaged or married.
You deserve to have beautiful, candid, and timeless pictures of you and your boo that you can hang on your wall and admire for months and years to come. Don't you agree?
We're not engaged. Why do we need a session?
10 images are included in the price of your mini session fee. When your gallery is ready, you'll be able to pick out your favorite ones! You'll also be able to pick more than 10, if you like! Each additional image is $15 or you can purchase the entire gallery for $200.
Once you decide which images are the ones you want, I'll send you a second gallery with the hi-res images available to download directly from the gallery. If you selected more than 10, I'll send you an invoice for those images and it must be paid before you'll be able to receive the final gallery of images!
How many images will I receive for my session?
You'll receive your photos delivered in an online gallery, where it's super easy to download them and directly save them to your computer! You'll receive your initial gallery (where you pick out the photos you want) within 7 days. I know how excited you are to see your pictures so I work really hard to get them back to you as soon as possible!
When and how will I get my pictures back?
Heck yeah!! Just as long as they're comfortable on-leash and around other dogs/humans. It's also good to have in mind a solution to tie them up safely while we snap photos of just the two of you!
Can I bring my furbaby(s)?
In almost all weather conditions, the show will go on! The key to anything is being prepared for all scenarios. I have a photogenic clear umbrella for you to use during the session, and I recommend dressing for the occasion.
However, there are some conditions that are just plain miserable to be in. If the forecast calls for heavy rain and strong wind gusts, the sessions will be rescheduled for a later date in January. However, a light rain or wind by themselves aren't deal breakers!
If the sessions need to be rescheduled due to weather, and you are unable to make the new dates selected, your session fee will be refunded to you. Given the short booking window and reduced session fee, funds will not be refunded under any other circumstance.
